The request to opt in is your affirmative authorization to let the business sell your personal information again. This is usually requested from those who have previously opted out, or from parents or guardians of consumers age 13 to 15 years old.

A consumer’s choice to opt in after opting out requires a 2-step process where the consumer makes and affirms their choice to opt-in.
